Flash-back

In spring of 2008, Winston Salem Colloseum was a host for the Davis Cup semifinals. Tennis is very popular sport in countries that used to be Yugoslavia, and today Serbian tennis players are having top position on the WTA lists.

Associated Artists of Winston Salem called its members to make art that is either related to tennis, or in which tennis equipment was used. Those artworks were scattered throughout the CIty of Arts, i.e. Winston Salem, and there were incredible items out there.

I was obviously faithful to my own art expression: nature and crafting. I don't know what amount was given for this piece of art at the silent auction in the pause of the David Cup games, generously donated racket by my son Djordje, designed and crafted by myself, but I know that it lives now in Raleigh :-)
